"'The Male Intellect' is a crafty and thought-provoking concoction," writes the Chicago Tribune about Robert Dubac's hit one-man show, where the actor/writer ransacks his brain to answer the age-old question, "What do women want?"

Dubac's performance pinpoints the differences between the sexes and then celebrates them with 90 minutes of non-stop laughter. The multi-character comedy has five distinctive, dysfunctional and hilarious male characters, featuring its creator in all the roles.

When the show opens we meet "Bobby" in a very confused state. Having found the girl of his dreams and having asked her to marry him, she gently dumps him. Why? Unable to answer this question, he recalls some not-so-wise but nonetheless hilarious advice he received growing up with five chauvinistic male mentors. With a shrug of his shoulders or a crook of his neck, Dubac transforms himself into these five alter egos, each offering their own brand of misguided advice. They are:

The colonel, who insists that the key to what women want is honesty, hence all men should admit they're boneheads.

Jean-Michel, who says communication is what women want -- and communicating with double-talk and mindless metaphors is completely acceptable as long as you speak with a sexy accent.

Old Mr. Linger, a 123-year-old bachelor, believes women want a sense of humor. But he's a bit too daffy in his endless search for the perfect woman -- a mermaid.

Ronnie Cabrezzi, who knows women want sensitivity. However, he can't stop laughing at his girlfriend Lucy when she unloads a stream of obscenities aimed at his lack of compassion.

Fast Eddie, who gives women want they want -- passion! But he doles it out from the fast lane professing men have to "love 'em fast and leave 'em first."

Bobby realizes that most of their advice is worthless but with help from his "feminine side," is able to sift through the bad advice and discover the real answer to his dilemma, all while drinking a beer.
