The GustavoThrace winery tasting room has opened at 1021 McKinstry St. across from the Oxbow Public Market.

It is really a wine bar, offering glasses and tastes in a comfortable atmosphere. Visitors are welcome to bring food from the Oxbow Market.
On the wall is memorabilia from the movie Bottle Shock, including a photo of winemaker Gustavo Brambila with Freddy Rodriguez, who plays him in the film.

The wine bar/salon is open until 7 p.m. every night and 9 p.m. on Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
Waterstone and Mahoney have a similar venue almost next door and Mason has a tasting room around the corner

New at the Oxbow and Farmers Market

You can now take wine from any of the merchants in the Main Hall of the Oxbow Market to tables — but not outside. For that, get wine from Oxbow Wine Merchants (and later this year, Hog Island Oyster Bar on the eastern part of the deck).

The 180-suite hotel’s design is based on historic regional precedents and also embraces the Napa River and Napa Preserve with a pool, courtyard and south wing open to the natural environment.

It has 12,000 feet of conference and event space, two bocce courts and easy access to future river walking paths.

In addition, Chef Ken Frank is moving his La Toque restaurant from Rutherford to the Westin Verasa.

La Toque will contain a show kitchen with a formal dining room and an outdoor patio.
