VALLEJO - Virginia "Gini" Pearl Cornett Martin, 75, passed away July 24, 2008. Born Dec. 16, 1932, in Oklahoma City, Okla., she graduated from Vallejo High School (1950) and the College of Marin, working as an optician and as an RDA.

NAPA - John Francis "Jack" Daniels, 82, passed away at home with his entire family at his bedside, on July 29, 2008, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born Jan. 25, 1926, in Delta County, Colo., he was the seventh child of Edward M. and Frances H. Beeson Daniels. Raised in the family's tiny log cabin in the high plateau land of Colorado he grew into a tough and hard-working young man, helping his family tend the small ranch.

NAPA - Eula Beal Garnett passed away Tuesday, July 29, 2008, in her home in Napa, with family by her side. Eula was the wife of famous aerial photographer and former professor emeritus at Berkeley, William A. Garnett, who passed away in August of 2006.

NAPA - Raymond "Ray" Paul Gleason passed away July 26, 2008. He was born Aug. 2, 1927, to Lester and Margaret Gleason, in Hampton, Iowa. He moved to Minneapolis at a young age until joining the U.S. Navy in 1944, serving aboard the USS Belleau Wood during World War II.

SPOKANE, Wash. - Clara M. White, 91, resident of Napa for 53 years, passed away peacefully at Kimberly's Cottage Adult Home in Spokane, Wash., on July 30, 2008. She had moved to the area to be near her son and daughter.

NAPA - Our beloved son and brother, Albert Baker, aged 50 years old, departed this earth on July 29, 2008. Albert attended local schools, graduating from Napa High School in 1976.

DALY CITY - Rosa (Rose) Lazzara went to rest July 25, 2008. Rosa was born Aug. 22, 1911, in Italy.
