Sidekicks at Napa Fair Thursday and Saturday
The Sidekicks Demo Team will be performing martial arts on Thursday and Saturday at the Napa Town & Country Fair at 4 p.m. each day. Sidekicks will be performing in front of the Main Street stage (in front of the Chardonnay Hall) where it has performed for over 10 years.
City adult slow pitch deadline Thursday
The city of Napa’s Community Resources Department is offering an adult slow pitch softball league. The six-game season will be played Sunday through Friday nights at the JFK softball fields. All teams must be prepared to play on the night they are assigned, regardless of the night they requested.
Completed team rosters must accompany registration. The cost is $375 per team by Thursday. The season runs Aug. 17 to Oct. 10.

Babe Ruth/Ripken elections start today
Napa Babe Ruth/Cal Ripken Baseball is holding its annual elections for its board of directors. Positions are open to new candidates and returning officers. The officer positions are as follows:
President, vice-president Cal Ripken division (6-12 year olds), vice-president Babe Ruth (13-18 year olds), rookie division coordinator (6-8 year olds), minor division coordinator (9-10 year olds), major division coordinator (11-12 year olds), 13-15 division coordinator, 16-18 division coordinator, secretary, treasurer and registration coordinator.
Anyone interested in taking an integral role can nominate themselves or another (subject to verification of that nominee’s interest) for an officer position on the board of directors. The ballot for officers will be finalized today, and elections held via e-mail for registrants at napa.baberuthnetwork.com concluding on Aug. 31.
