A single-vehicle crash caused the closure of a portion of Salvador Avenue between Highway 29 and Big Ranch Road in Napa shortly before 1 p.m.

The road was closed to traffic at Summerfield Drive, due to a car that crashed into a power pole, causing lines to sag quite low.
The road remained closed until PG&E crews were able to come out and take care of the pole and the dangling power lines.

" I think it's about time that the county takes a look at enclosing thoe ditches on that stretch of road. I've been driving in Napa for some time now and I don't like going that way sometimes, what about those new or insecure drivers. Think of how they view that road. I remember not so long ago an article about this very topic in the paper, but yet nothing. "
