Hannah White, of Pope Valley, and Adam Waters, of St. Helena, are pleased to announce their engagement to be married July 18, 2009, in Napa Valley.

Mary Gastelum of St. Helena and Joseph Escareno Velasco, formerly of St. Helena, were married July 25, 2008, in a civil ceremony. The bride’s niece, Linda S. Gastelum, served as their witness.

Frank Humpert and Analee Humpert celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary with family and friends at a champagne brunch on Aug. 24, 2008. They were first married Aug. 22, 1948.

The University of Wyoming awarded a master of science degree to Michelle Wilson, of Napa, at the completion of the 2008 spring semester. Located in Laramie, the University of Wyoming is the state's only four-year higher education institution, offering more than 180 programs of study.

Tera Gallegos, daughter of Gil and K Gallegos, of Napa, graduated from St. Mary's College, in Moraga, in May. Tera received her bachelor of science degree in economics and business administration. She studied in Mexico, and five months in Melbourne, Australia, and China. She begins her career in September at the Clorox Co.

The following local students graduated from Dickinson College in Carlisle, Pa., on May 18, 2008:

Fernando Barrientos, of Napa, has successfully completed California Highway Patrol cadet training, and has been assigned to duty at the CHP's South Los Angeles Area office.
